Discovering STEM from the World Around Us
Traveling Science is a self-funded program designed to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) interests in young people. Our core mission is to stimulate their curiosity about science through the discussion of intriguing topics from the world around us.
Our belief is that by sparking an interest in STEM, along with providing the right encouragement and mentoring, will inspire more children to pursue a STEM related area of study. We hope to encourage young people to venture into an enriching career path they never anticipated.
Traveling Science, in various forms, has been providing in-person science discussions in the classroom since the late 1990s. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, these discussions are now available both via Video Conference and in-person.
Traveling Science works in cooperation with a number of science partners and other professionals who are contributing to the development of content and peer reviews. These partners include; NASA scientists, science writers, university professors, a singer/songwriter, videographers, loggers, and other educators and professionals.
If you are are interested in having a Traveling Science mentor come to your school or organization, or wish to contribute to Traveling Science, please contact: eric@travelingscience.com or visit out Contact page.
