Traveling Science in the Classroom

For almost 30 years, Traveling Science, in various forms, has made science presentations, provided career advice, mentored young people and volunteered for a variety of science initiatives for industry and nonprofits.

All of these efforts were in-person and their success, in many cases, was derived from direct, in-person interaction with young people. Being flexible to shift topics and refocus as needed to follow the questions of an audience was a defining success point of the classroom sessions. The overarching goal is to build an interest in STEM topics.

Today we offer STEM sessions both in person and online. We also provide bibliographies with each Traveling Science sessions. These links and references follow where the discussion surrounding each topic leads, in an effort to facilitate deepening the knowledge and understanding of our students. They will have all the reference links and bibliographies necessary to give a teacher/mentor an entire class session on a topic. This makes it easier for kids to deepen their understanding of any given topic.

Traveling Science for Teachers

Additionally, Traveling Science allows recording of session to give teachers and mentors from around the world, reusable videos to show students in future classes.

The list below is of excellent STEM reference organizations for membership, additional curriculums, exceptional programming, and/or to share with students.
